I am a self taught crafter working with both wood and leather and have always loved working with my hands. Growing up I would “help” my father with various projects which usually consisted of holding a flashlight or the end of a board while he sawed. Although he didn’t teach me the craft, he was instrumental in teaching me not to be afraid to attempt and do things myself. As a result of that, over the years I’ve tiled floors, installed hardwood flooring, run new electric circuits and completely renovated and remodeled a laundry room. I don’t remember exactly when I began, but woodworking and leather crafting are skills I’ve been perfecting over the years. My early projects were mainly focused on making items for family members. I thought to myself I can do this and have worked at it slowly but steadily which brings me to today. When it came time to decide what to do in retirement I felt that I might be able to turn this hobby into a new career. I love transforming a piece of rough lumber or leather into something beautiful, practical and useful. It’s very satisfying when I can take someone’s idea and make it a reality. The hard work is rewarded by the fact that my finished product will be used and appreciated and possibly even passed onto a new generation. All of our products are made using traditional methods and tools by a single craftsman. All leather goods are hand stitched.
